A
special day, 30 years after the earthquake, to remember and
understand how the C.P. has turned out, for the C.P. was born
as aftermath of that terrible event. At the exposition, participated
DNPC (National Department Civil Protection) from Rome, numerous
Italian regions presented their publications in the field
of Civil Protection. The DRPC (Regional Department) organized
the demonstration and held connected events with the collaboration
of local associations such as Italian Red Cross and groups
of catastrophy trained dogs. They showed the ability of the
four legged friends how they could rescue buried people near
a debris littered area, just for the demonstration. There
were prepared two show-rooms for the pictures "Friuli par
no dismentea"(Friuli will not forget) provided from the group
"aghe di poz" (water in the well) from Pozzuolo del F. and
"Pictures from a reconstruction" photos of Tino da Udine kindly
given from the daughter of the author: Cristina Procaccioli,
and edited by the Photographic Circle the Objective of Pasian
di Prato. The elementary schools of Attimis presented a work
prepared from the boys including: plastics, designs and other
materials with main geologic characteristics generated by
the seismic, and the characteristics of their territory. The
FESN has participated at the initiative with a non professional
monitoring station, working with the geol. Michele Arcaleni,
of the Seismic Observatory "Bina" of Perugia, telling the
boys, of the elementary and middle schools, that participated
in the initiative, how the earthquakes are formed.
