We
went there in order to understand, to comprise, what happened
in that angle of the Garda's lake where not waves of water,
but waves of earth terrorized, playing with houses a terrible
game leaving un-eraseble signs. Powered with the experience
of the earthquake of Friuli, we feared to meet something similar,
but fortunately it was not so. The pictures of damaged houses
showed the desperation and the discomfort of the people who
had to abandon their own houses, But what happened in Friuli
was worst, and we did not feel the same sad thoughts here.
However the power of the earthquake was unexpected, even if
in that zone some clues of tremors we can find in specific
literature and in geologic maps, was obvious and the damages
to the houses and bigger monuments were clearly evident.
